How to improve your sales performance?

I was really bad at selling because I never really learned it! As an entrepreneur, you have to sell your products and your service on a regular basis. I had the honor to speak with 7-figure sales expert Tiji Thomas about how to improve your own sales skills. Here are some lessons that I want to share with you.

Selling really means listening!

People may care about one thing: What’s in it for me? If you know this then that’s great because now instead of just pitching start really listening very carefully! What are the needs and pain points of the other person? Most people immediately start pitching their product or service. Instead of pitching really take the time and understand the needs and focus on mutually beneficial outcomes!

Everything starts within you!

This is according to Tiji Thomas, a big block that prevents most people from selling. Everything starts with you! You’re the key to your own success so don’t undervalue yourself. If you believe in yourself truly, then you’re doing a disservice by not being in that potential client’s life. Work on figuring out the value that you are going to bring to people’s lives.

Paint the big picture and create experiences

Make sure that you can get people to kind of experience you almost like being in front of you. The way to do this is by asking questions!

Ask questions like:

So tell me a little bit about your business!

Where is your business now, where you want it to be?

Tell me a little bit about what, what you’re doing it for?

How is your life going to change when changes are done?
